Can't stop email notifications to inactive email address

Thread needs solution

I have TI2018 build 12510 running on three Win10 x64 systems. I have configured local backups for each system which work well. I do not use cloud backups. I have configured email notifications on each system to the same recipient.

Here's the problem. On two of the systems, Acronis is sending status emails to an inactive email address which results in a rejection email to the sending address. I have looked at all three systems and each have the correct recipient email address. Although I do not use the cloud functionality, I also checked the cloud dashboard and it has the correct email. The suspect email is not configured anywhere in Acronis. It was an email that was used in the past but has since been deactivated. I am confident these systems are free of viruses or malware.

How do I remove this inactive recipient email address?

Thank you!

Are you able to confirm which backup task is triggering the incorrect email address mail?

Open the C:\ProgramData\Acronis\TrueImageHome\Scripts folder and find the associated .tib.tis file for the backup task, then check within that file using Notepad to look at the XML data to see if the obsolete email address is stored in that file?

The alternative would be to create a whole new backup task with the same configuration as the current task, then delete the old task configuration from the ATI GUI.

I could not find the deactivated email when searching through the script. As a test, I deleted the existing email address and put in a recipient email that has never been used. It seems to have stopped the error.

Good to hear the problem looks to be solved, thanks for the update.
