Changing Backup Schedule
When I first started my ATI Trial, I set a backup schedule and I recently tried to change the number of incremental backups from 4 to 3 but this didn't work and only messed up the schedule.
If it can be done, can I ask for advice on the correct way of changing the schedule please. I'd like to do a full backup on a Friday followed by three incrementals on Sunday, Monday and Wednesday.

Thanks for the help.
With the Weekly setting, it allows me to choose the days for full and incremental backups or am I missing something?

The weekly setting means once (one day) per week. It defaults to the day and time of original backup task creation.

Mike,
Changing the number of incremental backups from 4 to 3 will cause the task to "start over" In most instances, whenever you want to modify an existing task, it is usually better to create a new task.
If you select weekly, you can specify the days of the week the backup will run. If you select Full & 3 incrementals, and you select weekly with 4 days selected, then the full and incrementals will run on the same day each week. You really don't specify what day the full runs. If you want the full to occur on Friday, then you would need to start the task on Friday.
Hope this helps.

FtrPilot, thanks for the help, really appreciated.
When you say "create a new task" and please forgive my lack of knowledge, can I ask what I need to do?
You mention "If you select weekly, you can specify the days of the week the backup will run. If you select Full & 3 incrementals, and you select weekly with 4 days selected, then the full and incrementals will run on the same day each week. You really don't specify what day the full runs. If you want the full to occur on Friday, then you would need to start the task on Friday" This is what I was doing but I had 4 incremental which meant I was having the full backup on different days when I much preferred it to be at the end of a week.

"Create a new task" means Create new backup (task). You should edit the existing backup and change the Schedule tab to "Do Not Schedule" . Do not delete the task until the new task is running like you want it to run.
Then, you can create a new backup. You need to give it a different name than the existing backup task. You should probably do this next Friday after the time you want the backups to run. For example if you want the backup to run at 10:00 PM, you can create the task at 10:05 PM on Friday. After everything is set properly, select "Backup Now". After the backup completes, the next backup should be an incremental on Sunday at 10:00 PM.
In the mean time, until next Friday, you can run the existing task by hitting the "Backup Now" button. Once you are satisfied that the new task is running correctly, you can remove/delete the old task.
Hope this helps.

Just as an update, everything is now running fine, full backups being done on a Friday, then followed by three incrementals.
Thanks for all the help, really appreciated.
