CLONED ISSUE

Thread needs solution

My internal HDD 1TB(SATA INTERFACE) on motherboard hp elitedesk 800g5 was cloned to kingston NVME M.2 2280 SSD 500GB. After cloning process concluded, the SSD is not able to boot. there is windows error when windows 10 in starting.

Normally, NVMe M.2 drives require that the computer is booted in UEFI / GPT mode, so you should check if that is how your original HDD was booting into Windows 10.

You can check this by typing the command: msinfo32 in Windows and looking at the BIOS mode shown in the right panel of the report it shows.  This needs to show UEFI and not Legacy.

Next, assuming that you are booting in UEFI mode, then your BIOS boot device should be 'Windows Boot Manager' and your computer should support booting from NVMe M.2 devices - check your computer maker support site, and check also for any BIOS updates.

I would recommend disconnecting the HDD drive when attempting to boot from the new SSD to avoid complicating things.
