Cloud Backups with True Image 2018

Thread needs solution

Hi,

I have True Image 2013 and I am thinking of updating to the 2018 version, however I can't find anywhere on the website that tells you if the cloud backup is included with the software and if it is how much data can you store up there ? , if anyone can help I would be grateful.

thanks

Stuart

I can understand your confusion. I would suggest looking at this post which hopefully will tell you all you wish to know.

Ian

Stuart, do you have a Cloud subscription with your current ATI 2013 licence, if so, then you can use the same Cloud subscription with an upgrade to ATI 2018.

Please note that there are different types of licences involved here.  I would expect that your 2013 licence is a Perpetual one, i.e. buy once, use forever.

Be careful when upgrading to 2018 that you pick the correct licence - you can continue to have a Perpetual licence, but there are also Subscription licences which include an amount of Cloud storage.  You can also have a separate Cloud licence to use with a Perpetual licence.

If you have questions about the options available, then open a Support Case direct with Acronis as a PreSales / Licencing question and I am sure they will clarify everything for you.

Stuart, welcome to Acronis forums! Currently, the Cloud storage is included into subscription-based licenses only. If a user already has an active Cloud subscription from the earlier product versions, it can be used together with a new perpetual Acronis True Image 2018 license. However, it's not possible to buy a new perpetual license + Cloud, one will need to choose a subscription (Acronis True Image Advanced or Acronis True Image Premium).

Check out Acronis True Image 2018: Licensing and Upgrade FAQ for more details. If any questions, feel free to contact me!

Hi,

Thanks everyone for your information, I am not interested in suscriptions and renting software, it seems like a way to squeeze more money out of you,, I have just replaced all my Adobe software because of this, i think I will stick to on-site backups.

Thanks again

Stuart
