connectivity issue (former CrashPlan user)

Thread needs solution

I am having problems connecting to our local host computor (LAN) for my local back ups.  I get the following error;  The last backup has been canceled by timeout.  Please close the application that may currently use the file: \\computorname\c\backup file name

Your help is appreciated.

Sorry but too little information to know what the problem here may be?

What type of backup is being performed here?
What version of Windows OS, ATIH 2018?
What is being backed up and what is the destination for the backup?

Have you used the MVP Log Viewer tool to look at any messages in the log file for the backup task?  See the ATI Community Tools or the MVP User Tools link.

Do you still have CrashPlan installed?  If you do and that app used the same network location it might be the cause of your issue. 

Windows will only allow one authenticated connection from a single machine to a network share per session, if a second connection to the same share is attempted the error you quote will be displayed.
