Coppupt backup - solved - faulty cable or controller

Last night noticed that a backup did not complete because the backup was corrupted. Intermittent problem over the last two weeks that I had not noticed. At first I suspected that the HDD was failing, or that the controller was failing, ad the disk disappeared. Checked with HardDisk Sentinel and the disk has a large number of power losses and suggest the problem is faulty power cable. Could explain the long boot up times. Looks like for this task I did not have email notifications set up.
