Hi, with True Image 2018 am I allow to create a bootable usb disk to make an image of my laptop and run at as a VM on my Desktop whre I have True Image 2018 installed?  Thanks.

If I understand your question correctly, yes, you can create a bootable USB Acronis Rescue Media drive and then boot your laptop from this media in order to create an image of the Windows OS installed on the laptop.

You would need to convert that Acronis backup .TIB image to a VHD or VHDX virtual disk in order to try to run this as a VM on your Desktop.  Alternatively, you could boot your VM from the Acronis Rescue Media and do a restore of the laptop image to the VM virtual disk drive.

Note: that Microsoft licensing comes into play when you run Windows on different hardware from where it was activated, plus you may also encounter other issues with moving the laptop image to your desktop hardware, even though this will be within a VM.  You may also need to use the Acronis Universal Restore media with this scenario.
