deceptive Subscription Expiration message

Thread needs solution

My taskbar AAP icons warned me this morning:

"Your subscription expires in 15 days 9/30/2018"

Which confused me since my ATIH2018 licenses are Perpetual, not subscriptions.  When I clicked on the message it opened my browser so I could buy upgrades to ATIH2019.

I see my account does bear a TRIAL "1TB Cloud Storage" Subscription expiring Sept. 29, 2018, however neither the message nor the upgrades offered when I clicked it referred to this.

This didn't happen in past years, and I consider it deceptive marketing, which is most unwelcome.

If the messages appear again I'll printscreen and include them.

Coyote, I would suspect that the 1TB Cloud subscription came from the ATI 2019 Beta testing program and the message is letting you know that this is ending and any data stored in the cloud would be lost after 30 days from the expiry date.

Thank you very much, Steve!

It's possible, since I had just woken up minutes before, that the message said something I missed about it being the CLOUD sub that was expiring.

It is nice to know that it's not a trial that came with my perpetual licenses.  Particularly since I trust that no savvy beta tester would be fooled by that sub-expiration message into clicking the message offered to upgrade my perpetual licenses to ATIH2019 ones.

It's good to warn people of stuff, and I really can't say Acronis should have done it any differently.  I'm sorry, Acronis, that I mistakenly called it "deceptive marketing"!
