Deleting the last incremental backup in a chain

Thread needs solution

Hi,

The last incremental backup of my system disk has been run while the system was in an incorrect state. I don't want to keep this one. How do I delete the last element of the chain (beside deleting the corresponding file in Windows Explorer) ?

Thanks in advance.

Patrick, the only way to delete an individual incremental file from a version chain is to do so via Windows / File Explorer, but to do this with ATI 2018 you will first need to turn off Acronis Active Protection which will want to stop such an action, and then after deleting the file, perform a Validation for the task that created the deleted file.  This latter action is needed to reconcile the information that ATI holds for that task in its internal database - you will get an error message that the deleted file cannot be found - you should take the Ignore option if offered, otherwise Cancel.
