Dell G5 5590 Recover problem

Thread needs solution

Hi.
I try to replace de original 256 slow ssd of my Dell G5 5590 making a full disk backup to a second sata drive. Then I've installed the new ssd. Try to restore the backup over the new ssd using the boot loader. It fails to do so.

In a second try I've installed windows 10 pro, then ATI and try to recover from it crashes over and over, rebooting with no changes at all.

Again, trying from universal boot loader, I can choose the *.tib file, but them the ssd where I need to restore de backup to.. just disappears.

I think it just does not work.

What version of Windows OS do you have?

How does that OS boot from your original 256GB SSD from the BIOS, is this a Legacy / MBR boot system, or a UEFI / GPT one?

See KB 59877: Acronis True Image: how to distinguish between UEFI and Legacy BIOS boot modes of Acronis Bootable Media for how to check on the above question.

When doing any restore using the Acronis boot media, you must use the same boot mode as your Windows OS uses.
