error system setting roll back after restart of system and disk space low

Thread needs solution

hi every one.

i am having issue regarding recovering my image to the system when i recover the image it is completey revered with no errors but when i run the system the system boot its self comes to the desktop  but issue is that what ever changes i made in windows it didn't save the settings when i restart the PC settings roll back to previous setting which were when the image was restored and if i delete something from the system it has no effect on the drive space and when restart pc the files deleted come back again and the disk space remains low.i have used 80gb hard disk ,250gb harddisk also. i have cloned the two hard disks but my problems remain the same. my orignal drive is of 60 gb which i am making image. and one more thing when i restore image it shows 15 gb used and 20 or 40mb free disk space.as 15 gb is the total data on the drive. and had one drive only  operating system is windows xp

welcome to these public User Forums.

What actual version of Acronis True Image are you using here?  Is it ATI 2018 per this forum?

What type of computer is this?  Is it a desktop/tower PC or a laptop?

I have only ever come across systems where no changes are retained when using either a virtual machine or using kiosk mode, where the intent is to discard all changes and revert back to a vanilla starting point when used in such as Internet Cafe's.

Thank you for confirming that information.

What exactly is the status of your desktop PC at this time?

What size of disk drive do you have installed in this PC?  Your other posts have mentioned having 60GB, 80GB, 250GB and 500GB drives.

When you are using the original 60GB drive are you able to make changes and keep these after restarting your Windows XP operating system?
