GSOD when trying to backup parttion "C".

Thread needs solution

When I attempt to backup partition "C" using Acronis True Image 2018 with  Windows 10 build 17017.1000, my computer pops up a green screen of death (GSOD) with the following message: terminal_server_driver_made_incorrect_memory_reference.

What failed: Win32kbase.sys.

I just upgraded from Acronis True Image 2017.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Brian, welcome to these User Forums.

Please see forum topic: Windows 10 crash with True Image 2017 (Insider Preview Fast Ring) opened for the same Insiders issues with ATI.

Please open a Support Case directly with Acronis for this problem as this is something that the developers need to be investigating.

Neither Acronis nor Microsoft seem to respond to this problem of the Green Screen when trying to back up the C: drive. There is silence from both companies and I am very disappointed. There are hundreds of complaints on Microsoft's site and finding anything within the Acronis site is hopeless.

Please see KB 60589: Acronis True Image: Windows Insider Program (beta) builds support for an official statement from Acronis.
