How can I remove old tib files?

Thread solved

Since the configuration mess from October I started looking at the backup directories and discovered old backups that are just wasting space. Is there a way to safely remove them? In the image below I would like to remove the b3 and b6 backups. There would be an image but the jpg file won't upload.

What type of backups are you dealing with here?  Are they Disks & Partitions backups, or Files & Folders?  What backup scheme is involved?  Full, Incremental or Differential?

When you refer to removing the b3 and b6, do you mean whole version chains using those identifiers?

What about b4 and b5 in this context?

Acronis have introduced a new 'Clean up versions' tool in ATI 2019 & later versions which is ideal for this type of issue, as will only let you remove files correctly and will automatically clean up the information held in the Acronis database files in doing so.

With earlier versions of ATI, then your options are to either set the 'Automatic cleanup' settings to deal with older versions, i.e. use 'Store no more than X recent version chains' where X is the number you want to keep.

Alternatively, if you delete files outside of ATI, then ensure you delete entire version chains or all files except the Full backup files, then perform a Validation for the backup task that created those files, assuming it is still shown in the main ATI GUI.  Validation is needed to clean up the database information by answering either Ignore or Cancel to the pop-up error messages for each missing file.
