How to continue an incremental backup from a newly cloned setting?

Thread needs solution

I had experienced similar problems like https://forum.acronis.com/forum/acronis-true-image-2017-forum/specified-file-does-not-exist-error and I cloned my backup settings, deleted the old settings and renamed the cloned setting with the same name of older settings.

But when trying to do a new backup, ATI 2018 start a new full backup, even though incremental copies already exist in this same folder.

How can I make ATI 2018 recognize the previous incremental copies in this folder and continue from these incremental versions, thus avoiding creating a new full version?

Position your cursor over the Destination of the backup in the GUI and you will notice that it becomes fuzzy and will display Change Destination.  Clicking on it will allow you to re-select the destination (path) to the backup task files location.  Make sure that you click on the folder that contains the backup to re-select it. Then choose Ok.

Now try the Backup Now button in main GUI window.

I did, but it's still creating a full version, even with many days of incremental versions in that folder.

A full version is normal when changing a task.  Subsequent backups should remain incremental as per the backup schedule set.

It will continue but a new full must be created first on which the subsequent incremental files will be based.  This is the default behavior of the app.
