How graciously does acronis handle only occasionally being connected to it's backup drives?

Thread needs solution

I'm considering buy some licenses for some co-workers laptops. The laptops will only occasionally be connected to the usb drives that are intended to be backed up to. Is acronis capable of silently detecting when the drive is attached and backing up in the background without any user interaction? Or will it look for the drives and throw a fit and nag the user when it can't find them and require user interaction to start backing up again?

Basically, user interaction constantly required equals backups not happening, and popups equal things getting disabled.

Glix...welcome to these user forums.

The short answer is yes.

The long answer is:

When setting up the backup, on the 'Schedule' tab, under 'Advanced settings'  select the item 'Run when the current destination device is attached'.
