How to identify drives?

Thread needs solution

I want to clone my current C dive to an NVMe. True Image identifies the drives by number but Windows identifies drives by letter.

Of the 5 drives in my system I know by the capacity that the C drive is either Disk 2 or Disk 3 but how do tell which?

I can't find anywhere that Windows lists drives by number.

Milo, welcome to these public User Forums.

Windows lists drives by number in Disk Management but it starts the numbers from 0 upwards, where Acronis starts the numbers for disks from 1 upwards - so disk 1 in Acronis = disk 0 in Windows.

You should also be able to distinguish your disks by their make & model unless you really do have 2 or more identical disk drives using the exact same make & model of drive!

Please ensure that you have a full disk backup of your source disk drive before attempting any clone operation - this is your safety net in the event of any errors or failures!
