How to restore from another folder

Thread needs solution

I'm doing many disk backup of CFast cards on my laptop's drive then I may move some of them to an external USB drive to get back free space on my laptop drive. If I need to restore a backup that I manually moved to external drive, I'm doing 'add an existing backup' but after selecting the backup file on USB drive, the link that appears in TrueImage 2018 points to the folder that I used on my laptop and when I'm trying to 'restore' there is an error of missing version. How can I restore a backup that was manually moved to another drive without having to copy it back to original location?

Denis, whenever you make a backup using the ATI GUI, information for that task is stored in an internal database for where the files were created, how many etc.

If you want to move files then you should use the option for this in the ATI GUI, not doing this manually using Explorer.

See the ATI 2018 User Guide: Backup operations menu - where all the options are described.

Move - click to move all the backup files to another location. The subsequent backup versions will be saved to the new location. If you change the backup destination by editing the backup settings, only new backup versions will be saved to the new location. The earlier backup versions will remain in the old location.
