Iphone restore

Thread needs solution

Unfortunatly I have going blindly backing up my drives and my I phone. Now I want to restore my Iphone but It appears I can only install the Latest version of Acronis on my phone (no earlier versions). and The latest asks for a qrcode but acronis 2018 does not create one. Online backups are out since I pay by the mb used (I live in the country)

So the question for the forum is how do I restore my I phone backup. It asks for me to install cyber protect on my computer (I assume it is the new version) no other options are available. I am stuck here

Hi Don

Long time since I had the need to install the iOS app. The ATI 2018 manual describes the process as follows:

2. On your computer:
1. Start Acronis True Image 2018.
2. On the sidebar, click Backup, and then click Add backup.
3. Click the Backup source area, and then select Mobile device.
A QR code will be displayed. Please do not close this window.
3. On your mobile device:
1. Start Acronis Mobile.
2. Select computer as a backup destination.
3. Tap Scan QR code, point your camera at the QR code on the computer screen, and then wait until the mobile device is connected to the computer.
4. Tap the gear icon and select the data categories that you want to back up, or tap Back up if you want to back up all of the data.
5. [optional step] Tap Use encryption to encrypt the backup and protect it with a password. Otherwise, tap Skip.
6. Tap Back up.
7. Allow Acronis Mobile to access to your personal data.

So, ATI 2018 should be able to create the QR code. I am uncertain if you were able to get that far. It may be that the current build of the iOS app does not recognize a QR code created by ATI 2018. Not sure why that would be the case. [Support for backup/recovery from a NAS was removed in a recent build of the iOS app. But it should support existing backups.]
