Issue with the Acronis clone

Thread needs solution

I tried to clone the C disc and told it to copy to a USB SSD connected using WAVLINK, but it said I needed to reboot. I rebooted, and now it simply hangs, either with a blinking cursor if I try to boot from C, or with the message "attempting to boot from USB" if I try to boot from USB (of course, usb drive is blank). Any ideas on how to get the C drive to boot? It's a GPT drive. Thanks.

Rony, welcome to these public User Forums.

Unfortunately you are describing a known scenario which prompted me to publish forum topic: [IMPORTANT] CLONING - How NOT to do this over five years ago.

For your immediate issue, you should try shutting down your PC fully, disconnecting the USB drive, then open the USB settings and ensure that for a UEFI / GPT boot system, you have 'Windows Boot Manager' as the primary BIOS boot option, then try booting into Windows again.
