Issue with Imaging downgraded PCs that have UEFI. Should I use Acronis True image or Snap Deploy?
I have been using Acronis to image PCs since 2012. Since 2014 with the newer UEFI boot, I have been having a hard time imaging windows 7 and windows 10 PCs with True Image. I don't sysprep because it seems True image does a lot of the work for me. (I could be wrong ) I usually image on Legacy mode with UEFI boot off.
Recently I had issues with imaged machines taking 4-5 minutes to log into a windows domain and being extremely slow after a month of imaging. It only happens to Pcs that are used by 30-50 or so users. This happened to Windows 7 Dell machines for OptiPlex 3020 and 3040s (both downgraded from windows 8 and 10.)
When checking on the machines I see issues with user accounts temp user folders in the C:\users folder showing that it is taking a hard time to create profiles.
Long story short, should I use True Image or Snap Deploy going further?
Should I image with UEFI boot?
I am moving forward with windows 10 and no more downgrades but I want to make sure the next group of PCs work properly and I and using the correct product.

When you take an image for deployment, windows 7 should ideally be sys prepped. Windows 10 does nit need sys prep.
Most importantly with your image, is that it should be a non-domain joined system! Never image a machine that's already been joined to AD or you're bound to have issues. Take your base image of a machine that has never been in AD and only been in a workgroup. Also, if you do sysprep, remember there are only 3 times you can sysprep the same image! You want to basically keep your image backed up before sysprep and then after. The one after is the one you deploy out... The one before is the one you revert back to to keep your image up to date with new patches and software updates.

Steve and Bobbo Thank you very much! I will be sticking with Windows 10 from now on insead of 7 for these PCs
Bobbo,I do not image a PC after joining a Domain so we have been good with that. Thank you
Steve, I will stick to UEFI mode for the Imaging however some thing you mentioned with ATI License makes sense.
How many times can I image one PC to multiple PC with ATI? Do you think this is a cause of my problems?

Please see KB 60125: Acronis True Image 2018: Licensing and Upgrade FAQ - for the official statements from Acronis on many questions around licensing and usage of ATI.

Rob (Bobbo) is probably best placed to answer the above question, but under normal circumstances I would doubt this to be a cause of the issues described in your initial post for this topic as copied below.

The only reason I can think of would be if you are imaging a computer with these 30-50 user accounts already present, and that is causing an issue with duplication or conflicts for these users from other computers created from the same source image, but that is pure speculation on my part!
Please read the Acronis Standard licensing policy document which is relevant to this overall topic.

Technically, each PC you use the rescue media on is supposed to have a license. In practice though, there's nothing preventing the rescue media from working on any hardware. It shouldn't matter how many times you deploy an image with rescue media. The main thing is making sure each Windows 10 OEM system has activated with Microsoft at least once with the original install / license. After that, deploy away.
