The last created Volume Tracker checkpoint for volume belongs to another backup plan.
I see this message in the backup email. I have two backups scheduled to two different locations backing up from the same source. One does C: only (inc hidden partitions) and one does C: D: and F:.
What does it mean for how the backup is run? My guess would be that it had to backup using a different slower method, indeed for these volumes I don't see the message, I do see 'Volume has been backed up using the express method'
Is it anything to be concerned about?

Austin, what actual Acronis product are you using here? The messages don't seem familiar to me for Acronis True Image nor the reference to 'express method'?

Acronis True Image 2018 Trial
The messages are in the snippet of log that is sent when you setup email notifications.

Austin, thanks for the further information / confirmation of product.
Just checked some of my own backup task logs and see the same message written in those too as shown in the snippet below:
23/09/2017 23:15:56: 00 1844 I000101F8: Pending operation 173 started: 'Creating partition image'.
23/09/2017 23:17:35: 00 1844 I00100000: The last created Volume Tracker checkpoint for volume 'C:' belongs to another backup plan.
23/09/2017 23:17:36: 00 3712 I00640000: Writing incremental version to file: DellStudio_inc_b2_s7_v1.tib
23/09/2017 23:26:04: 00 1844 I000101F8: Pending operation 173 started: 'Creating partition image'.
23/09/2017 23:30:08: 00 1844 I00100000: Volume Tracker has failed to find changes on volume 'D:'.
23/09/2017 23:31:09: 00 1844 I000101F8: Pending operation 173 started: 'Creating partition image'.
23/09/2017 23:31:09: 00 1844 I00640000: The following backups have been successfully created: H:\Dell Studio\DellStudio_inc_b2_s7_v1.tib
23/09/2017 23:31:11: 00 1844 I013C0006: Operation has succeeded.
I take these to be purely informational messages referencing the internal mechanism being used (new) by ATIH 2018 to try to improve the efficiency of backups by keeping track of some of the changes made since the last backup. I suspect that the message indicates that I am running several different backup tasks (plans) and there is only the one Volume Tracker record being maintained, hence the reference that this belongs to another plan, and the second message about no changes being detected on volume 'D:' which I expected as that is a second copy of Windows 10 (dual-boot) which hasn't been run inbetween the backup times.
The key messages in the log are the final two, backup created successfully and operation was successful, which is what I tend to mainly look for.

Thanks. I will have to assume that all is ok but as a software developer myself I know sometimes things can report as ok but not be, hence wanting to understand what this message meant.
I have, however, just bought a 3 workstation license. Having trialled it sufficiently to warrant the very modest cost, even cheaper once support pointed out I could purchase an upgrade for my old 2011 license, and at £18 per computer, it's a bargain!

The upgrade sounds like a good price Austin though I guess you are seeing a whole lot of differences in look & feel after using ATI 2011.
Take a look at the Community Tools (link below) for the Log Viewer tool provided by the MVP's since the integrated log function from removed from the main GUI.

Ghost used to have this issue too as it used a live change tracker, but that product could only therefore have one scheduled backup task per volume. The beautiful thing about the way Acronis implemented this is that they've always had very fast change detection that doesn't require continuous tracking. This allows them to seamlessly handle multiple backup jobs against the same volume. The only "loss" in such a scenario is that the software reverts to the old method for creating the differential backup rather than the live change tracker. It's still pretty quick, although the live tracker is probably faster and I suspect results in more compact backups.
ATI's implementation of this feature really is impressive compared to their contemporaries.

I know this is an old thread, but I just noticed the same message being logged. I have a daily incremental backup and a daily full backup (to different devices).
I'm using ATI 2019 14110
