Licensing

Thread needs solution

Am I to understand that this version of TI will not be a perpetual license? If true I will have to find another similar backup product in the future.

See KB 60121: Acronis True Image 2018 licensing which has the following table:

Amount of protected machines  Acronis True Image Standard (perpetual)  Acronis True Image Advanced (subscription)  Acronis True Image Premium (subscription)

3 machines license   3 computers (Windows or Mac) + unlimited number of mobile devices (iOS, Android), unlimited in time  3 computers (Windows or Mac) + unlimited number of mobile devices (iOS, Android), valid for 1 year  3 computers (Windows or Mac) + unlimited number of mobile devices (iOS, Android), valid for 1 year
5 machines license  5 computers (Windows or Mac) + unlimited number of mobile devices (iOS, Android), unlimited in time  5 computers (Windows or Mac) + unlimited number of mobile devices (iOS, Android), valid for 1 year  5 computers (Windows or Mac) + unlimited number of mobile devices (iOS, Android), valid for 1 year

Standard license is unlimited in time. Annual subscription means your license is limited for 1 year. You can renew your subscription and continue using the product.

Acronis True Image 2018 is available both as a perpetual license and as an annual subscription. See https://kb.acronis.com/content/60121. The Standard version is a perpetual license which will always work.
