Log Off During Backup

Thread needs solution

So far I haven't found any other threads on this.  I'm curious if anyone knows what happens if you log out if a Backup has started?

Often if I'm working late the Backup will start and it's never been worth it to me to find out if it stops if I log out.  Yes, I know it's a scheduled task, but some tasks will ignore if the user is logged in or not and others will start fine if the user is not logged in and start fine if the user is logged in, but if they start with the user logged in they terminate if the user logs out in the middle of the task.

So....  Is there a FAQ that I missed, or has anyone had experience with this?

Right now I just lock my screen, which is basically the same thing.  But I'd prefer to log out if I can.

Thx.

Pete, my own experience is that scheduled tasks will run regardless of whether you are logged in or out as they run under a Local System account rather than directly using your user account.

It should be fairly easy for you to test this with a small test backup task that would take a few minutes to run to completion.
