Can I move an archive from NAS or local drive to cloud?

I have an old backup, I would like to keep it, but free up storage on NAS for other backups.

Dennis, welcome to these User Forums.

In simple terms, the answer should be 'Yes' but there are a number of other considerations to be aware of.

What is the size of your archive?
Is this an Acronis True Image backup .TIB file, and if so, what version of ATI was used to create this archive file?

Which Cloud storage are you asking about?
Is this the Acronis Cloud service, and if so, do you have a subscription for this, and sufficient storage allocated to your subscription to host the archive file?
If it is a different Cloud service you are wanting to move the archive file to, then does this have any file size limitations, i.e. maximum file size that is allowed to be uploaded / stored?

How are you going to transfer the archive to the Cloud storage?
What is your upload speed for your Broadband connection?
Many broadband providers provide a very different upload speed as compared to download speed, where you may only get around 10% of the download speed when doing uploads!
My ISP gives me up to 70Mbps download speed but only 5Mbps upload speed for example!

Dennis, if you choose to try to upload your TIB archives to the Acronis Cloud (or other Cloud service) then they will be stored in the cloud 'as is' so to action your second requirement, to restore data from TIBs anytime, then you would need to download the TIB archive file to a local drive as there is no option to explore such files in the Cloud unless you could map the Cloud location to a drive letter accessible via Windows Explorer.

If you want the archive data to be accessible to allow restore of individual files / folders from the Cloud, then you would need to recreate the archive backup using the Cloud as the destination.
