MULTIPLE FULL BACKUPS

Thread needs solution

Okay, so I am doing a custom differential backup where I backup on full and then a group of differential versions. Problem is that I end up with a full backup, a group of differential versions and then a new full backup while the first one still exists.
I only want one full backup at a time (due to space constrictions).
I've been at this for a while, what am I doing wrong?

Patrick, welcome to these User Forums.

This is the way that ATI is designed to work, in that it does not delete older backup files (version chains) until a new successful Full backup (for a new version chain) has been created.  This means that your backup drive would need to be large enough to accomodate these files.

The alternative option here would be to try to split your backup source into smaller pieces, i.e. if you are currently doing an 'Entire PC' backup and have more than one disk drive installed, then change to doing a Disk & Partitions backup of each individual disk drive.
