New (replacement) install of TrueBackup 2108 can not see old backup

Thread needs solution

My old (Win7) laptop died, so I bought a new one (Win10). Install TB2018 and ran first backup to the same network file server location, no issues. Now I want to recover some file from a backup done on the old machine.
The GUI only see the back up done today.
If I "map the network drive" and try to open the last .tbi file from the old computer, it gets about 99% done and then hangs.

Jack, there shouldn't be any issues with the .tib backups created on Windows 7 by ATI 2018 being read by the same application running from Windows 10.

Normally, you should be able to open the backup location in Explorer, then double-click on your .tib file which should open it in Explorer and let you browse the contents, then use Copy & Paste to grab any particular files or folders you want to restore.

The alternative option would be to copy the .tib file(s) from the NAS to a USB drive then connect that drive to your new laptop, to eliminate any network issues being involved.

Alternatively, in the ATI GUI select "Add existing backup" (down arrow next to "+ Add backup) to bring the old backup into Acronis.
