Possible to just purchase extra Acronis Cloud data?

Thread needs solution

This is the situation:

I have a 5 user perpetual licence for ATI 2018 (Standard). I also have a year-by-year 1TB Acronis Cloud subscription which I use on the 5 machines running the ATI 2018 perpetual licence. I wish to purchase additional data for the Acronis Cloud subscription. i.e. to upgrade the 1TB subscription to a 2 TB subscription.

So far every link I follow from the ATI software, website, knowledge base, or Account page just wants to sell me a new bunch of ATI licences with or without Acronis Cloud. I only want more Acronis Cloud data, I'm happy with everything else. Can what I want to do be done?

Apparently the method of purchasing additional storage space has changed from the original method which I am pasting below:

Built-in store

Acronis True Image 2018 provides an in-app store. Using this store, you can:

  • Buy the full version of Acronis True Image 2018.
  • Buy Acronis True Image subscription.
  • Buy more storage space on Acronis Cloud.

To access the in-app store, go to the Account tab, and then click Acronis Store. You will see the in-app store and all available purchase options.

I have messages the Forum moderator and asked for assistance for you.

EDIT:

To upgrade your current storage limit open the True Image application, click on Account in the left column of the GUI, then click on the Upgrade button.  This will open a new window showing your upgrade options.

Nothing I have been able to find thus far gives me the option of just buying additional Acronis Cloud storage. Essentially the only option that I am being given is: Buy new subscription based ATI licenses and pick an amount of Acronis Cloud storage. I am happy with the number/type of licences that I currently have - I only want more Acronis Cloud storage.

Everything suggested above I have done.

TheMantis96,

When I open the Account tab in TI 2018 and click on the Upgrade button I get the window in the screenshot below to display.  It clearly shows what my current subscription is, 5 PC's - 3TB of Cloud storage and at the bottom of the window an upgrade offer to increase storage to 4TB for the displayed price.  You do not get this?  If you do you are looking at the upgrade Cloud storage amount and purchase price.

As indicated, your current license will be recalculated meaning start anew for 1 year and appended to the new license.

This is a subscription based model for the Premium product.  If you change the subscription then you must renew it which means you start over with the licenses for the application and the storage amount you want.

What you show above is exactly what I get if I go through the ATI software links on the Account tab. I understand completely what it is for and what it is showing me. The point I am trying to get across is that I don't want to purchase any amount of subscription based licences just to get an increase to my current Acronis Cloud storage. What I want is to continue using the current ATI perpetual license with an increased amount of Acronis Cloud storage. I understand that the Advanced and Premium licenses are different to the Standard license. The Acronis Cloud subscription I have originated from a few years ago when it could be purchased separately and wasn't tied specifically to the Advanced and Premium licenses.

Ok, I understand now that you have a standard license.  Best to wait for a response from the Moderator on the subject.  Hopefully they will post on Monday.

Hello Everyone,

In the current licensing policy Acronis Cloud storage is an integral part of Advanced and Premium subscriptions e.g. cannot be sold separately. The maximum amount of Cloud available within an Advanced subscription is 500GB; a Premium subscription can be purchased with up to 5 TB of Cloud.

All older Cloud tariffs can be renewed for another year, but it wouldn't be possible to purchase any of the older Cloud subscriptions to extend the storage, as they are no longer available for purchase.

Here we have the new process described in more details https://kb.acronis.com/content/60165

One additional note: if you're not a new user, it's recommended to make purchases in the In-product store. This way the price for the new license will be recalculated based on the licenses you already have e.g. price for upgrading from Standard to Advanced or Premium will be lower than on the website.
