Questions about backups made from within windows
First I have always used boot media to backup and restore drive images since TI8. I only installed TI to make custom boot disks. I started using TI to make backups from within windows starting with TI2017 now TI2018. I made custom backup scheme and saved it. All backups are done manually and are full backups. First problem I ran into was naming the backups like is possible from the boot media. TI wants to auto name the backups by drive manufacture, example: Samsung SSD 850 PRO 128GB_full_b6_s1_v1-2. I want them named as follows example: 20180129_Win10 all updates. I also do not like how TI adds stuff like full_b6_s1_v1-2 to the end of the file name even if I manually named the backup. I can change the name but the next time I go to make a backup It does not change back to the automatic name by default it uses the last name I used. If I change the name is it using my custom settings still or do I have to reset every thing up on each backup? Whats the way around all of the above?
Second I do not have TI auto verify my backup images. I want to do it manually. I find no way to do this in a simple way. I have to pick each backup one at a time, right click and choose verify. There must be a better way? Click a button to verify all images would be nice.
Third I manually backup all my images to an external drive. How do I add this location to files I can verify? Can't see how from TI without messing up backup names and possibly the setting (drive to be backed up etc.) on future backups? From windows explorer aka This PC I can right click and verify but they must be picked one at a time. If I highlight them all verify is not listed on a right click.
Thanks, Bill
