Resetting of "Date Modified" on Directories when Restoring from Backup

Thread needs solution

When I restore files and folders from a backup, the restore function preserves the dates/times last modified for the files but NOT for the directories. The last modified dates/times of the directories are reset to the date/time when the restore actually occurs.

Alternatively, if I restore a drive and/or partition from backup, the dates/times last modified for the directories (as well as the files) is preserved as it was originally backed up.

I find it very helpful to know when (in the past) a directory was created, and would like to preserve this information after a restore.

As I understand it (from searching the forums), there used to be an option box to uncheck in prior versions of True Image which would prevent the resetting of the directory last modified information.

Does anyone know where this setting might be located in True Image 2018? Is there a way to preserve this information when restoring files and folders, without having to go to the trouble of restoring a whole disk or partition?

Thanks.

Ron, I can only suggest that you open a Support Case for this issue.  I have tried various different approaches and cannot see any way to preserve the date/time stamps for directories being restored/recovered or even being copied / pasted from a backup archive opened in Explorer.

The ATI 2018 User Guide only speaks to preserving date/time stamps for files not for folders or directories.
