"Scheduler2 Service" stopped

I attempted to install Acronis TrueImage 2018 on a third computer but keep getting notified "Failed to start scheduler service," with the following event code:

0x00900022+0x0000FFF0+0x80070003  

So I logged into my account, downloaded the latest build and ran the installer in Repair mode. The "Scheduler2 Service" still fails to start. In Task Manager, the service is "Stopped," and it is not possible to enter the path to the executable in Properties.

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Acronis\Schedule2\schedul2.exe"

What else can I try?

Are you doing the install of ATI 2018 using an Administrator account as is required for correct operation and to give all required privileges / authorities?

I had to give Tech support remote access to my PC, who tried a myriad of steps. She ended up downloading and installing the scheduler separately, which solved the problem. So I figure the latest update for v2018 has a bug.
