SSD Won't Clone
I just purchased a 2TB SX8200 Pro SSD to replace my current 512GB SSD with. I'm trying to clone the SSD, so I downloaded the software since it says it comes with it for free. Of course I've registered my SSD already. I've plugged the new SSD in my laptop with a USB adapter. Upon clicking "Clone Disk" on the software and going through the steps (yes, the software recognized the new SSD), I get to the part where it says to restart my computer and of course I do that. The computer just restarts normally and nothing else happens. So I tried it again and the same thing happened. I did that a few times and it just does the same thing, so now here I am. This is a new laptop and I really need more space on this laptop as I've already filled it up within the short time I've had it (I have a lot of games and videos) and I've never done upgrading laptop storage before so I'm hoping that I can get some help to get my new SSD up and running so that I can put it in my laptop.

When you clone the drive, did you just copy all the folders, or did you use some software?

Sonnie, welcome to these public User Forums.
This forum is dedicated to users with Acronis software, i.e. Acronis True Image 2018 and cloning is performed using that Acronis software.
Copying folders will only work for data drives where there are no installed programs etc.
