True Image 2018 PE Resizing Partition

Thread needs solution

Hello -

I trying to restore an image using the WinPE version of True Image (created by True Image 2018). The original HDD is 250GB, the destination is 500GB. The partitions are as follows:

NTFS (Windows7_OS) (C:) 224.4 GB
NTFS (Lenovo_Recovery) (D:) 13.82 GB
Track 0
EFI System Partition

Acronis won't let me adjust the C partition size unless I deselect the EFI System Partition. Then, when I do, Acronis applies the remaining space on the destination drive to drive D (Lenovo Recovery partition). It needs to be applied to the C partition.

Bottom line, I cannot resize the C partition on the new HDD -- which was the purpose of doing this.

Can someone help?

I would suggest taking an alternative approach here - restore your image 'as is' to your new drive - see forum topic: [How to] recover an entire disk backup for how to avoid needing to resize individual partition sizes by restoring at a disk level.

If any resizing of partitions is needed to accomodate the extra free space available on the new drive then use one of the available free Partition Manager programs such as MiniTool Partition Wizard to do this from Windows running on the new drive - this will allow you to move and resize as needed.
