True Image 2018 - Why incremental backup every 2 minutes?
I've downloaded the latest True Image 2018 to trial it.
I've set up a backup of files and folders.
Incremental backups - configured to take a new FULL backup every 30 incremental backups - to be taken once a day at 3am,
But.....after taking a full backup, it now appears to be taking additional (incremental) backups EVERY 2 minutes!
WHY?
I've not asked for that? I check and it definitely says once per day.
It also says at the bottom 'Next Backup: 20/03/2018 at 03:00' but this then gets replaced by 'Backing up...' every 2 minutes!
This incremental backup takes approx. 1min 30s according to the reports.
Is very confusing....I didn't ask for it. It doesn't state it. But it IS taking additional backups every 2 minutes.....
Any thoughts?
I can't go ahead and buy the software if it does this.....

Don, if the above tip from Enchantech doesn't solve this, then please download / use a copy of the MVP Log Viewer tool (from the Community Tools link in my signature) and use this to check for error messages in the backup task logs.
It is possible that what you are seeing is an error retry issue - you can also check the Advanced > Error Handling options set for your task - I normally deselect this option, preferring for an error to halt the backup and tell me rather than keep retrying and spamming me with notifications (if setup).

As Steve says it could be restarting of an unsuccessful backup. This can happen if there is insufficient space on the destination HDD for the backup to be created. I have seen this recently on one of my PCs. Just needed to add a new HDD for backups.
