Trueimage 2018 Ignoring OneDrive
Hi - I've tried trawling the web and forums here but can't seem to find an answer, so I hope somone may be able to help.....
I'm backing up selected folders from C: and D: to a LAN NAS drive.
It's a simple one, Acronis 2018 backup ignores the folders I selected for it to back-up in OneDrive. No errors, no complaints, just ignores them. All other folders backup fine, just nothing in OneDrive.
I've made sure that that I have a local copy on my machine (disabled the OneDrive save space feature). The Reparse test (below) confirms that indeed those folders are local.
fsutil reparsepoint query "C:\Users\MyUserName\OneDrive\"
And I've also removed OneDrive from 'Exclusions'.
So I'm stumped. With no errors appearing and no sign of the OneDrive files / folders in 'Restore', I'm not sure what to try next. Any suggestions welcome. Thanks.

thank you for your posting! Please refer to 61425: Acronis True Image 2018: OneDrive folders are excluded by default
Thanks for responding Ekaterina - Does that mean that even though I've disabled 'Files on Demand' there's nothing I can do? Acronis Backup 2018 simply cannot back-up files from OneDrive to a local drive? Thanks.

Unfortunately, that is the way that it appears to work. Disabling files on demand was a work-around. Apparently Acronis was unable to implement a reliable means of backing up one drive, so it is excluded by default. If you have a subscription version of ATI you can backup Office 365 files (including OneDrive) directly from the Microsoft server to the Acronis Cloud. Not an elegant solution, and it can result in users thinking they have backups when the do not; the same applies to the excluding of *.ost files used by Outlook for backups. The older *.pst files are backed but only if using Files and Folders backup scheme.
Update: Apparently you cannot backup *.ost files under Microsoft 365 (aka Office 365) because the data is on the server and is not present on the PC (see here).
