upgrade from True Image 2014 to True Image 2019

Thread needs solution

1) Do I just install True Image 2019 or do I need to remove True Image 20145 first?

2) Will True Image 2019 recognize my existing 2014 settings?

Gene, the recommended method is to remove ATI 2014 before attempting to upgrade to the new 2019 version.

When you install 2019 it should look for any existing backup images and add these to your main ATI GUI task list but you will need to reconfigure the settings, so best to make notes of any changes you have made for the current tasks in 2014.

You can save the C:\ProgramData\Acronis\TrueImageHome\Scripts folder contents where the background script files for your backup tasks are kept - these are XML data files and there will be one file per task along with other files for such as validation actions.  You can look inside these files using a normal text editor to identify those for your tasks where the name is shown near the top of the file, then just copy those files back to the same folder after installing 2019.
