Waking Up Computer from Sleep
I have an external HD connected to router and have set up backups to the \\198.162.xx.xx address.
On main PC (connected to LAN via Ethernet), daily backups proceed with no trouble. However on adjacent LG laptop (Windows 11 and connected to LAN via WIFI), I am able to get a scheduled backup if--and only if--the laptop is already awake. When I put it to sleep, backup never starts. Yes, the "Wake Computer" checkbox is visible and checked. The machine is on AC power. Not understanding why it won't wake up to perform backup.
I've also noted that as soon as I wake up the machine, the backup starts after it recognizes backup was missed (took a few minutes for this to start) so this appears to be directly related to ability for Acronis to wake up the machine. As I am testing this, I am manually putting the laptop to sleep using the start/power button options.

Yes, they are enabled. After multiple tests, the only way I seem to get it to work is to disable putting the laptop to sleep at all. The screen can go off and Hello login can be requested but going to sleep seems to be the problem. My PC goes to sleep every night but Acronis successfully wakes it up for the backup. Perhaps something different about Windows 11.

You could check whether this is directly associated with Acronis or is more of either a system or possibly a firmware / BIOS issue by creating a simple Windows Task Scheduler task to wake up the laptop (say a couple of minutes prior to the backup scheduled task).
The task could simply run a small Windows batch command file to ping your router IP address with the conditions set to wake up the computer.

Had a number of issues trying to get the task scheduler to wake the machine actually but will play with it some more.
Last night's backup success was definitely due to disabling computer sleep. Doesn't matter if the screen has turned off or if the hard drives are off (from power plan). Disabling sleep is the only thing so far that is proving to actually work. Odd that Acronis won't wake the machine from sleep; wakes my PC up just fine but perhaps, since the PC is Windows 10 and the laptop is Windows 11, there is something else going on there.
But--and to throw another wrench into it--my other laptop (an older Dell Windows 10) also would not send the backup either until I disabled sleep. It would have no issue sending it to local USB drive (same as the Windows 11 laptop) which of course I assumed meant it had something to do with the network-based USB drive I am now using at 192.168.xx.xx. Played around with those credentials in every way imaginable but again, the only fix (so far) was disabling sleep on both Win10 and Win11 laptops. There is something about the IP-based USB drive and sleep mode that creates the problem although not for my main (Win10) PC which wakes up just fine and sends to the USB network drive.
And some final notes, both laptops are on Wi-Fi (PC on Ethernet) so naturally I did test the Win11 machine connected to Ethernet without success.
Regarding task scheduler, I had a similar problem: worked great except when laptop had gone to sleep. I ran a cmd.exe (with exit) task, told it to wake it up from sleep, etc. Task would fail.

All seems very strange, I am not aware of any specific issues related to Acronis, Windows 11 and Sleep - I cannot remember seeing any other reports in the forums or having any such issues for myself.
I do regular scheduled backups from a mix of PC's to my NAS and local drives etc across both wired and wireless connections, all being woke up to perform the tasks. The only caveat here is that they are all Windows 10 systems except for a couple of older Win 7 ancient systems, as I haven't yet made the switch to Windows 11 other than on my Hyper-V virtual machines that I have been using for testing.
