Is it capable of backing up website files using FTP.  I cant see any anyway to type in an IP address.

Or do I need a different product

Michael, welcome to these User Forums.

The simple answer is NO, ATI 2015 (or other versions) is not capable of directly backing up any web site via FTP.

You can only backup files & folders that you are able to access by using Windows Explorer, where this can include files & folders on local network resources such as a network drive or NAS.

In order to be able to backup your web site data you would need a method of mapping the web site folders / files as a local drive letter on your computer.

A lot here depends on the type of web site you are using.  For example I administer a web site for my local group of churches which uses Joomla! Content Management Software as the underlying web authoring and maintenance mechanism.

I have several means of protecting my web site data but these in turn are controlled by the Web Hosting service that I use for the site.  I use 1&1 here in Europe who provide a web Control Panel for site management, this in turn provides options for a Webspace Explorer where I can zip the contents of my site using their servers, plus I can access all my site pages via Secure FTP, and finally because the site is a CMS, I use the phpMyAdmin web console to save the MySQL database that is at the heart of the CMS system for my site.

What I do is to keep a local copy of the web site data on my computer which I then make changes to and then upload via an FTP Client to the host site for deployment.  I can also refresh my local copy of the site data by downloading the whole host site structue using the same FTP Client.

The local copy of my site data can then be included in my regular Acronis backup actions, including a backup of MySQL database exported from the phpMyAdmin web console and stored locally.
