17750 update problem

Thread needs solution

After clicking on the Install button, the progress bar eventually gets to about 95% and then stops moving. After about 50 minutes, I gave up and right clicked on the installer shell line. I then got the error message: "Windows cannot find 'c:\WINDOWS\system32\tnd_checker_standard.exe' Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again." I clicked on OK and got the choice Repair/Uninstall. I selected Repair, got the message "Repair Complete"  I clicked on "Start Application". The "Updating..." window appears but so does the Acronis 2019 program startup screen for Version 17750.

What a way to update!

Clarence, sorry to read of update issues.  I have updated several of my own computers to 17750 without any issue at all, so difficult to say why you should be seeing an issue when you do so?

If there are still issues with launching ATI 2019, then I suspect that the advice from Acronis would be to clean it all out and start again with a fresh, clean install.  If intending to do this, then please use the option in the Settings page to make a backup of your current Acronis backup task configuration data to a zip file.  See the ATI 2019 User Guide:  Importing and exporting backup settings - before doing anything, assuming that you can open the main ATI GUI to do so.
