Acronis 2019 and Fixmestick

Thread needs solution

I have Acronis 2019 installed. I try to run fixmestick (which wants to boot the computer using the fixmestick USB) and it will not do the boot! I have other PC's Acronis 2018 and fixmestick runs great.
Any thoughts? Thank you!

James, welcome to these public User Forums.

A caveat: I had never heard of Fixmestick until this topic and have never used it or had access to one for testing etc.

From reading various reviews online, I cannot see how installing ATI 2019 (or any other version) should make any difference to how this virus removal tool works?

What other actions have you taken after installing ATI 2019, i.e. have you enabled the Acronis Startup Recovery Manager (ASRM) or created an Acronis Secure Zone (ASZ)?

ASRM modifies the Windows boot configuration to present an F11 key option on boot to allow booting into an offline ATI environment.

ASZ is an area of disk that is used to create a FAT32 partition for storing backup images.

Were you able to run Fixmestick on this same computer before installing ATI 2109?

I would suspect that the issue here is in the BIOS for this computer, not with ATI.

I have not come across fixmestick until this topic but cannot think of any good reason why just installing ATI 2019 should have any effect on a bootable USB device that operates completely outside of the Windows OS?

Have you ever been able to use this USB stick on this specific computer previously?

Sorry for the duplicate post - the previous post didn't show until I added this one!!!
