acronis 2019 survival kit
Creation of the first survival kit provides a back up however as time passes there will be changes to the computer that will not be present in the original survival kit. Will the user be able to create newer versions of the survival kit?

IanL-S wrote:Peter, the survival kit partition (the one that boots the survival kit and has the recovery environment) will still work properly - changes to the drives being recovered do not affect that partition. What you need to do is regularly update the backup on the USB drive. I would do this by creating a incremental backup task, with either no scheduled backup (you then do manual backup when needed) or have it when the USB drive is attached to the computer - by attached I mean it is attacked after the computer boots.
Hope this helps - I you need more help please post back.

Hello and thank you
I am not sure I understand what the Acronis description means
Acronis Survival Kit
"Create an all-in-one recovery tool on an external drive that contains everything you need to restart your system, including the required boot media and full image backups of your entire system."
Does the survival kit create an image of the entire computer HDD ie Windows, all programs and all my library files plus boot information or just the windows OS plus boot information/
Can the survival kit be updated later ? Or do I make a new survival kit?
Peter

Peter, see Acronis article: The Acronis Survival Kit - which should give you a clearer understanding of this option.
