Acronis with NVMe SSD in W7
Hi all.
I have been using TI 2014 w/W7 and a SATA HDD for years with no issue.
I just installed a Samsung 970 EVO + M2 NVMe 500GB SSD. Tho W7 does not have M2 NVMe native support, I was able to find a controller for the 970, and W7 recognizes it just fine. Using a 3rd party app, I migrated the OS to the 970 (from within W7), and can boot into it w/o issue. Yes, the SATA HDD is disconnected :)
The issue I have is that TI 2014 does not see the 970. I have no problem upgrading to a newer vers of Acronis, but need to know if I will be able to image and restore the OS as I have in the past. Do newer vers of Acronis see SSDs in W7?
Thanks in advance.

Yes there is. Look below:

Just go to the main Acronis.com website and you should see the option to download a 30-day Trial for ATI 2019

Got it - thanks!
I have:
1. Installed
2. Made a bootable USB thumb drive
3, Made a b/u (.tib) of W7 (which is on the SSD) to an internal SATA HDD
All is fine, until I enter the recovery wizard. I see the SATA HDD, and I can choose the .tib, but the wizard does not see the SSD - it is not listed anywhere. What am I missing?
Thanks again. :)

After searching, I found a thread called "Acronis 2019 does not see my C drive"
Based on that, I d/l-ed and installed Win AIK for W7, and then created a new bootable USB selecting WinPE from the Acronis menu. The recovery wizard still does not show the SSD. Ok, NOW what am I missing?
ps - when I boot using the USB drive, should I be seeing "Windows is loading files" and then the W7 splash screen prior to entering the recovery wizard?

Ok, tried making another USB. Noticed something this time around - "add drivers for better compatibility" - and at the bottom, there is an "add folder" option, which will allow me to browse for drivers, that I should add to the USB, I presume? What am I browsing to and what am I adding? Something related to the AIK install I have just done?
I can also browse for WinPE files. Should I do that as well?

You need to use the MVP_Tool in the sticky thread. When building, select the build from WinRE option. This will add the Microsoft hotfix that will provide Windows 7 NVMe support.
