Acronis True Image, Normal to raid 0 switch backup

Thread needs solution

Hello my name is Darius, I am trying to create a raid 0 drive, but whenever I use my system image is only shows my first hard drive, this is after everything is completed, when in my bios is says I have a raid0 drive. I am wondering whether there is a way to create an image, backup so that when I reinstall Windows 10 it will be setup for my new raid0 drive instead of only my old drive. I am asking if Acronis or any other software has the ability. Also yes I know the risks of raid 0. Remember my second hard drive does show up in my bios and on Windows when it is not a raid 0, but 2 separate drives. Thank you and have a great day.

basically it says I have 512gb instead of 924gb, because when I use the windows image it wont change depending on the actual space.

Yes, you can backup a raid array with Acronis. I do this all the time with a 3 disk raid 5 array.

Am I correct in my understanding that you have already created the raid array and somehow copied the disk to the array using a windows image. Your problem is that you are not able to use the full space on the array. I would suggest using MiniTool Partition Wizard  to recover the lost space. You can download the free version from here.

What raid controller are you using? It is important that when you are creating the recovery media that the drivers for the raid array are included. This means that the Linux recovery media that you can download from the Acronis www site will not recognise the raid. You will need to create the recovery media from within Acronis 2019 which will create either WinPE or WinRE recovery media which should include all necessary drivers. This should definitely happen if you are using an Intel on-chip raid controller. Add-in cards may cause issues.
