Acronis TrueImage for Crucial

Thread solved

I have Acronis TrueImage for Crucial because I bought a 2TB Sata III SSD from Crucial in February 2020. I would like to, instead of doing regular backups, just run a automated weekly cloning of my system drive, a 2TB PNY NVMe SSD to a 2TB Samsung Sata III SSD and of my data documents disk, a 2TB Crucial Sata III SSD to a 2TB Samsung Sata III SSD. Is that possible?

Or should I just use the Windows 10 Pro built-in file backup? Or a Windows 7 weekly backup that includes the system image of the 2 source SSDs?

Would it be possible if I upgraded to Acronis True Image 2021?

Thanks.

acronis-noob, welcome to these public User Forums.

First comment is that cloning cannot be automated or scheduled - it is a purely manual operation!  This is the same for all versions of ATI.

You can schedule an automatic backup of your different source drives to run as often as you wish, with the advantage that such backups can be stored on the same external backup drive or to different backup drives, still leaving free space on the backup drive(s) to hold more backups assuming that your source drives are not full!

See the link in my signature for a document describing the difference between cloning and backup operations.

Thanks.

I really wanted weekly automated clone as I'm not a business environment in need of an exhaustive set of backups. I just wanted an easy recovery option in case of a failed SSD via booting off another clone or cloning from a clone.

I will instead do backups as indicated in the instructions in the link you included.
