Acronis TrueImage not installing

Thread needs solution

I am trying to install Acronis TrueImage 2019 with no success.  So far I have tried "chat" and got only to the point that he would have to "upgrade assistance", then being locked out of chat with no mouse cursor.   I then initiated a ticket which is pending.  I just can't install Acronis - error message 1603.I have tried the cleanup tool.  And I have spent over 7 hours trying to install.  My only saviour was Macrium Reflect restore to several days ago.  Has anyone encountered this problem with installation?  I have read many postings, but not yet found a solution.  At this point I am about to just give up and forfeit my payment for Acronis.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Take a look at https://forum.acronis.com/forum/acronis-true-image-2018-forum/installat… and see if the suggestion there helps. Also, (again) search the forum for 1603 for other possible suggestions. If all else fails, wait for a reply for your ticket or possibly one of the MVPs will jump in and help. Normally the support for ATI is good.

Please see KB 46710: Acronis True Image: Installation Fails in Windows which deals with the most common causes of install failures, including 'not a valid 32-bit application'

Thanks for your suggestions.  Think I will just wait for ticket reply - I don't feel like being required to keep testing solutions in order just to install a program.  It's really not worth the time and frustration involved.  Thanks anyway.

This software is ridiculous! Just bought it. It does not install! Do not buy Acronis 2019! It used to be a good product in 2014, but now it is worthless. And the company will not stand by its product. Acronis needs to refund all the money they stole from the public. They are trying to beta test their software in the marketplace by forcing users to open support tickets. This is a crime upon the public and you should avoid all purchases from this company.

Jim, welcome to these User Forums.

We are also users here who try to help each other with issues encountered with ATI.  We would be happy to try to help you if you are interested in being helped?  Otherwise, you will need to take up this issue and any request for a refund directly with Acronis.

Jim, what failures have you encountered? I'm assuming you are running Win10, if not please let us know what OS and version you are using.  If you can please provide images as well. BTW I use SnagIt 2019. If you have not used Snagit download the 30 day trial (https://www.techsmith.com/download/snagit/), either capture still images or a movie of your True Image install and then post the results in this thread.

I'm just a user like you and have been using True Image for several years as early as v9 and it has saved me numerous times. I've also tried other backup software and have always returned to True Image. Currently, I have v 2019 successfully running on 4 different PCs. Let us know how we can help you.

J. Karl, welcome to these public User Forums.

There are some known issues that can stop ATI from installing, most of which are outside of the control of Acronis (unless they change the way the installation itself works).

One example is when the user has moved the %Temp% folder to another location such as a RAM drive.
