Acronis Universal Restore - 'Select OS' grayed out - cannot find a operating system

Thread needs solution

The Intel SATA controller failed on the motherboard so I enabled the Marvell SATA controller. I'm using UEFI on Win10. I built the Create an Acronis bootable media for restoring to dissimilar hardware. When I boot to the Acronis  Acronis Universal Restore media, the 'Select OS' grayed out - cannot find a operating system. Under 'automatic driver search' I can see the Marvell *.inf drivers as well as the full back to be restored. I'm missing something... ATI 2016

Jim, welcome to these public User Forums.

If your motherboard has two different SATA controllers, then have you swapped the drive cables from the failed controller to the second one?

Does your drive(s) show in the BIOS information?

Not finding an OS means that WinPE can't see the hard on the Marvell controller. You'll need to add the Marvell drivers to the UR media during the build process so the WinPE will be able to see the hard drive. Then you should be able to inject the Marvell drivers to the existing Windows system.
