I ran a toolbox routine to try help discover why I only get internet connection every other time of starting the PC. ie. power up - no internet; do a Reboot - get internet.
If I uninstall Acronis TrueImage 2019 I do not have this problem. I was surprised to see these entries in the toolbox output giving that a dll did not have the right signing level requirement. If it did - would this help resolve the problem?

There is also a software bug introduced by one of the recent (optional) Windows 10 updates that is causing havoc with internet connection for some users. Microsoft is apparently working on a patch. Hopefully uninstalling the update will solve the problem. Not sure if it is the cause here, but anything is possible.

Steve , Thank you for your reply, the properties for tishell64.dll are the same as yours for Build 17750.
See MiniToolBox for details of the program I ran to get the error msg I'm investigating.

I came across this on the Internet -
https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-networking…
One of the replies suggested turning of Fast Start-up under the Power Option of the Control Panel. It seems to Work. Only been trying it a few hours. This options also says that Re-start does not use Fast Start-up which is why after an initial Start-up (no internet) doing a Re-start has internet.
If it is the answer - a lot of people would be happy to know this - surprised that MS has never mentioned this in all their KB's concerning no Internet connection after installing W10 updates.

Thanks for the update - interesting about the fast startup resolving the issue. I only use fast startup on my Laptop, all PCs I have disabled it.

I also don't use Fast Startup on my main laptop as it doesn't really add any value when the boot drive is a Samsung 970 EVO Plus NVMe M.2 SSD which is very fast anyway.
