ATI 2019

Thread needs solution

ATI 2018 can backup to a USB stick 3.1. But  when when trying restore from this  3.1. stick. under Linux (?):

ATI is seeing the 3.1 stick but cannot detect the tib-file on this USB-stick. I must copy the tib-file from USB 3.1 to annother Hardware (DVD, CD, USB-Stick 2.0, 3.0, HD). Then i can restore my volume from this new source.

My question:

Is the new ATI 2019 now  able to restore from USB 3.1?

Thanks, Herbert

Herbert, welcome to these public User Forums.

The issue here may simply be that the Linux based Acronis Rescue Media does not have support for your USB 3.1 drive or the USB port it is connected to.

With ATI 2018 and later, Acronis is moving away from using Linux rescue media and will default to trying to create Windows PE based rescue media instead, basing this on the Windows Recovery Environment if you are using Windows 10.

The WinPE rescue media can be more flexible in supporting a wider range of devices and more recent technology, plus new device drivers can be injected to the media when needed.
