ATI 2019 custom install (?)

Thread solved

Hello to all mates

I'm an old Acroni's customer, starting with my first bought of ATI 2010, since my last one ATI 2018

What I find very unuseful, on one side, and making the program more heavy for the system, on the other side, is that the 2018 version install also the ransomware protection

Now I would just to know if in the latest 2019 version, during wizard installation, let you to customize the setup excluding ransomware protection and other unuseful stuff or the setup install everything and end of the story?

I would to know that because the 2018 was just wasted money (I'm back to use the 2014 version) and I don't want to waste money again to get what I don't want

Thanks in advance

Sorry but the answer is that there is no option to customise the install or decide which features get installed or not.  Acronis have made a business decision to integrate their ransomware protection feature in all editions from ATI 2018 onwards and do not look to be considering any change to this.

That said, it is relatively simple to disable Acronis Active Protection by first turning this off using the option provided in the System Tray icon, then setting the associated AAP Service to be disabled in the Services.msc control panel.

Please note that only ATI 2015 and later versions were supported by Acronis when installed on Windows 10, as the earlier versions were created prior to the release of Win 10.  Your ATI 2014 may continue to work as Microsoft release new major Updates but may equally quit working if MS introduce something that it cannot handle.

Thanks a lot Steve

I'll use the 2014 version on my system, with the 2018 I did just a bootable USB key with NVME drivers included and then I uninstalled ATI 2018 from Windows

Until 2014 one will works on Windows 10 will be fine, when it'll stop to works on Win 10 I'll looking for an alternative (not Acronis, for sure)

Thanks a lot for your time
