ATI 2019 Incremental backup ignores schedule and fails

Thread needs solution

ATI 2019 Incremental backup ignores the configured schedule and repeatedly initiates a new backup version a few minutes after the previous and continues until the disk is full or an error occurs such as "Failed to open data stream. This task backs up selected C drive folders to a separate local disk drive F in the same PC specifically for this purpose. I also have a separate task to backup a complete disk image as a single version scheme in manual mode to an external USB drive and this works fine.

I have made several unsuccessful attempts to resolve including removing and adding existing backup, deleting all destination F drive files and creating a new backup task, changing the incremental and auto previous version cleanup, etc.

See uploaded Word doc for screen shots.

I have used several versions of ATI for over a decade for work and home and long for the reliability of early versions.

Mike, welcome to these public User Forums.

From the list of files shown in your first screen image, your backup task is working according to your backup scheme settings, i.e. to create a new full backup after creating 3 incremental backups.  The issue here is that the task is failing and then repeating itself after around 3 minutes as it follows the scheme!

There is a new MVP Assistant log viewer tool that has now been made available by Acronis via the Community Tools page..

Please use the log tool to see what exactly is happening for your Files & Folders backup task.  If you need help reading / understanding the Demon log, then please zip the log file (to preserve its original file name) and share here in the forum.
