ATI shows the wrong file
I'm trying to do a backup. I have selected the source and now trying to select the destination. See the first upload.
Next I click on Change Destination. But as soon as I do that I get a reference to a file (see attachment 2) that I am not even concerned about. I don't know how ATI picked that file and I can't seem to make it reference the folder that I want to backup to.
The 3rd attachment shows that the folder does exist.
The 4th attachment shows the file name that ATI is creating.
What am I doing wrong?

I guess I don't understand tasks. I think there is a PDF that explains all of this. If it exists, do you have a pointer to it?

Eddy, the only PDF documents are the usual ATI User Guides which are also present on your computer when ATI is installed and accessed via the Help & Support page in the GUI.
What exactly are you wanting to do with your backup tasks? This may help us to guide you a little easier?

I just do simple backups and restores. Each time I do a backup I give it a different name. The folder name will depend on which computer I'm backing up. I never use the incremental feature. Sometimes I backup to a different drive.

Then you should create a new backup task each time you need to make a backup with a new / different name, not changing an existing backup task.
You can use the option to 'Clone settings' to duplicate the settings you have for an existing task, then modify the source / destination settings plus give the duplicate task your desired new name.

Thanks, I'll make that a habit. What is the definition of a task? Is it simply the information from a previous backup?

A task is simply a unique entry as shown in your screen image extract below:
So your 'My partitions' backup task is one such entry which has a defined set of Source data, a defined Destination location and other configuration parameters.
If you click on the 'v' shown to the right of your task, you will see the option to 'Clone settings' to duplicate those task configuration settings.
